Popeye is a universally acclaimed cartoon character created by the famous cartoonist E.C. Segar. The wisecracking sailor inherits superhuman strength after eating a can of raw spinach. The seaman with a screwed-up face is known for his squinting right eye, huge forearms with anchor tattoos and a pipe in his mouth. He constantly mumbles under his breath in his signature New Jersey accent.
